Permanent Makeup is cosmetic tattooing. The specialized techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as “micropigmentation”, “micropigment implantation” or “dermagraphics”. The cosmetic implantation technique deposits colored pigment into the upper reticular layer of the dermis. With Permanent makeup we use thicker, less concentrated pigments. This pigment fades over time, so if you commit to permanent makeup, you need to go back every one to two years for a touchup.
Microblading is a permanent brow service that produces realistic hair strokes to create fuller brows. The hair like strokes are individually and precisely etched into the skin using a manual (not a machine) disposable handheld tool, composed with very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade (we call a microblade)
Microshading is Ombre Powder shading with added microbladed hair strokes in the front. This method gives a defined makeup look with the shaded brow with an added fluffy and dense effect.
Ombre Powder is shading that is darker at the tails and lighter at the front. The final healed results is powdered filled brows similar to the look of makeup. Our signature soft, misty fronts create a natural and subtle look. This method suits everyone including all skin types.
The average longevity of the results of PMU brows is 2 to 3 years without additional touch ups. What we mean by that is, your brows will look good and the color will look intense enough for up to 2-3 years. (Touch-Up after initial procedure is required and recommended after 4-8 weeks from the initial procedure.)
The pigment itself will stay in the skin longer than that, but your brows won’t look defined/pigmented anymore if you don’t get annual touch ups. Annual touch ups are based on preference of the client.
Your Permanent Makeup Artist will review your preferred shape while using their expertise in shaping your brows following the natural shape and structure of your facial features. Color will be chosen based on the natural hair color present of the client and skin tone as well. Before proceeding with the procedure the Permanent Makeup Artist will always confirm with the client before moving forward.
We strive to keep our clients at The Beauty Co. relaxed and comfortable prior and during the procedure. Pain is minimal to none as we do provide numbing agents to help prevent any discomfort.
The average healing period is approximately 7-14 days but it takes a full month for the color to fully set in. Client might experience color loss after the scabs completely fall off but this is completely normal! The color will resurface after a couple weeks, up to 4 weeks to see the color's full potential.
We service clients from many ranges of age, skin types, and skin tones! However we do require our clients to be 18+ due to the laws implemented in Florida. The Beauty of PMU services is being able to service all in efforts to enhance their natural beauty!
Yes! But this would be considered a Cover-up/Color Correction Service.
PLEASE NOTE:
We do require that your brows are faded at least up to 60%, if your brows are still fairly dark and pigmented we are unable to offer the Cover-up/Color Correction Service. We will most likely recommend laser removal in order to lighten to brows for our PMU artists to create a new and improved shape + color for your brows!
If your current brow tattoo has healed ashy or has changed color overtime we would use specified color corrective pigments, One of our most important skills acquired is understanding color theory and how to handle residual color on the old brow tattoo such as red, blue, and grey brows. Our artists will further explain the process during a consultation/prior to the procedure.
You must be satisfied with the brow shape from previous work. If there is any room to adjust the shape, we will map it out accordingly.
The process of this service can take up to 2 or more sessions based on how the skin heals and also the pigmentation/pressure of the previous artist. (If it is implanted too deep it can take longer to neutralize.)
